Golden Reunion
May 10th, 2007 by Reena LinkeThe end of the school year isn’t just the end of one’s experience for many at Concordia. Today and tomorrow, over 70 alums are coming back for their Golden Reunion, meaning they graduated in 1957. It’s hard to imagine what Concordia would have looked like at that time. This is the third reunion I’ve gotten to be a part of, and it’s always neat to see people so enthusiastic to see each other and explore CSP again. That’s what I’ll get to look forward to - in 49 years!
Let’s see, this is my first post, so I should maybe give a little background. I’m a 2006 grad of CSP and am a certified director of parish music. I took the year “off” to apply to grad schools and am working at CSP as interim assistant director of Alumni Relations, at University Lutheran Chapel as organist and children’s choir director, and for myself as a piano teacher to 6 kiddies. I also took Finnish at the U of M for 2 years, though I can’t say I’m near proficient, and continued organ lessons this year with Dr. Eggert. It’s been crazy, but I love it!
Next year I’ll be heading to Boston University to get my Master of Sacred Music. Or maybe my PhD. Hard to say at this point. I’ll miss the Twin Cities but can’t complain about fresh seafood!
Lest I babble too much, I will bid you all adieu and close this, my first freshly squeezed blog.
