I can’t think of a witty title

Well, here’s a mini post to whet your appetite for the long weekend.
I hope it’s not disappointing.

I woke up freezing this morning in the new apartment. It’s chilly in the Twin Cities today, but the weather should be absolutely wonderful this weekend. I’m driving down to Sioux Falls this afternoong for my brother’s high school graduation. Lots of friends and family will be around, which will be fun–although my mom isn’t quite sure where I’ll be sleeping for a few nights. I’m flexible though.

Let’s see…what else is mildly interesting.
Oklahoma! rehearsals have started. I’m in the Mounds View Community Theatre production of Oklahoma!, which is directed by our brilliant theatre professor Randy Winkler. There are about 8 concordia students or alumni in the cast. Here’s some info that I will shamelessly plug in case you’re interested in seeing such a spectacle–a link to the MVCT website. There are about three pages of tap dancing things I have to look over for the “Kansas City” song.

So be warned, my summer is full of work and dancing.

The blogging community is huge all over the internet, of course. So I thought I’d share a couple of my favorite ones that I check regularly.

BIG BLUE BLOG–The Guthrie theatre has some pretty funny entries from actors who are in current shows. Check out the archives for The Merchant of Venice. I think it’s funny, anyway.

NEIL GAIMAN–He’s one of my favorite authors and responds to his readers and other fun things nearly every day. I don’t know how he can keep up with it all, but it’s impressive and interesting.
