In the Summertime
June 9th, 2007 by Billy SchultzThe past few weeks since my birthday have literally flown by, and I’ve finally had some things to do besides doing chores at home. Summer Camp (Our Savior Lutheran Day Camp) has begun, and it’s been fun so far. the kids are energetic and fun as always, and I have a great group of co-workers. It helps that most of us have known each other for the better portion of our lives. Besides that, I’ve playing a lot of guitar and drums, trying to actually practice for once in my life…that’s not always easy, I suppose.
The weather in Chicagoland has been beautiful, with the exception of one day. While some people think thunderstorms are freaky and hate them, I love them, without a doubt. In fact, I considered becoming a meteorologist in high school because I love weather. to me, it’s fascinating to think about the interaction of temperature, pressure, humidity, winds, and other forces which work to both sustain us yet at times cause fear in us. However, the math required to become a meteorologist is a bit over my head for me to consider this profession. On Thursday, things were looking promising for us to get some sweet weather, but most of it blasted WI while we were spared anything too wild. I was slightly disappointed, but it’s probably better to not use the insurance one has.
That’s about it for now…good night and good luck!
