I bought a coffee press yesterday–it’s most excellent
July 10th, 2007 by Tim SailerWe’re already creeping into Mid-July! I can’t believe it.
Two Things: Harry Potter 7 comes out next week (the movie comes out tomorrow, but I’m not as hyped about that) AND Oklahoma! opens on Friday–the 13th. I’m not too worried. I feel prepared and all. Yes, I even feel prepared to do “authentic Western boot clogging” on stage. You’ll just have to come and witness the spectacle for yourself (mvct.org).
We’ve got dress rehearsals and previews through Thursday, and my family is coming to see the show (well, minus my little brother Daniel; he’s still on tour. Tonight he competes in Charleston, West Virginia I believe).
I’ve decided to put in at least one photo in every blog post. I’ve been perusing Jacob LaCroix’s blog he’s been updating while he’s been on the Hippos Dig in Israel, and it looks pretty schnazzy with all the photos. Yeah, you can see my Flickr album along the side, but I thought I could give a brief background/history/whatever to accompany the photo.
So here is a Fourth of July photo:

Nothing like a good ol’ brat. We were going to eat outside, but it down-poured for five minutes, and then everything was soggy outside. Afterwards, my friends (Jameson, Rachel, Joy, Sydnee, and her family) traversed to Richfield for a very impressive fireworks display. I’ve seen quite a few good fireworks in my life (like by the Arch and Mississippi River in St. Louis, or in a small lake town by Boston last year) and this was as good as any of them (from what I can remember).
Okay, I’m going to wrap this up. I hope to blog shorter posts more frequently instead of long novels every 10 days or so.
Take it easy.
Chao.
