OK! Harry Potter, Limousines, and Gold Curry Sauce
July 17th, 2007 by Tim Sailer–Opening Weekend of Oklahoma! was this past weekend. It went well. I think the cast was a little miffed by the lower numbers the first two nights, but they were very enthusiastic. I’ll take that over a huge quiet crowd. I gotta work on the dream sequence a little bit before Wednesday’s show.
–I saw the 5th Harry Potter movie last week. I loved it. I’m not a huge fan of the movies, but I think this may be my favorite. It’s much more mature and exciting. (I’m pumped for Friday night when I get the 7th book and read it all day Saturday. I started reading this stuff in 7th grade, and it’s still awesome reading.)
–Right now I’m reading an awesome book called “Audition” by Michael Shurtleff. I guess it’s one of those classic acting books. It makes so much sense, and I’m able to internalize some of his guideposts already. They don’t work completely for a cameo character like Ike Skidmore, but I’ll have to keep it all in mind for future auditions and such.
–Yesterday, I took a glorious nap. Then I made this chicken/rice/gold curry sauce concoction for dinner. It wasn’t too shabby. Then I did dishes. It took forever, but it was time for me to do my fair share of work.
–Oh yeah, for work, there was a surprise limo ride to Izzy’s Ice Cream to celebrate the end of Fiscal Year 2007. WOO WOO!
This is somewhere in Florida on Choir Tour last spring. I just think it’s funny and I wouldn’t mind being on an ocean beach.
