Chapter 1: The Beginning
August 19th, 2007 by Billy SchultzIt’s hard to believe that it’s been three years since I came to CSP as a freshman, knowing virtually no one here, optimistic about how college life was going to be.
Needless to say, I wasn’t let down. I’ve done more in the past three years than I ever thought possible and I could ever imagine. I’m thankful for the opportunities I’ve had and for the ones yet to come. Being a college senior has come much faster than I expected, and in 9 months I’ll have a bachelor’s degree. I wonder what those 9 months will bring, and how my experiences at CSP will further shape me. I’m excited to get to know some new people and make some new friends.
I fully realized today that I’m terrible at remembering names. I’ll see people and know that I’ve met them, but draw a blank as to what their names are. It’s something I’ll have to work on, and hopefully not seem like a fool for being so inept at remembering peoples’ names.
I’m enjoying being able to get up in front of people to discuss Student Senate and introduce myself. I’m definitely a bit more confident in my public speaking skills than I was couple of years ago, and I hope that taking Public Speaking will give me even more confidence (but not cockiness) in my speaking skills.
Adios for now!
