Where is Spring??

April 10th, 2008

I really don’t know what to think about this weather. It’s the middle of April and we’re still expecting snow. It’s only been over 60 degrees once so far this year. Our track team has had two out of three meets cancelled, and we’re on the verge of cancelling another this weekend. I just can’t believe the winter is still lasting this long. “Spring Break”

February 26th, 2008

Well this year’s Spring Break is fairly disappointing on many levels. First and foremost is the weather. It is certainly not Spring, nor does it feel like it. In fact, Spring Break is even earlier this year than most. Secondly, I’m stuck here on campus while everyone else is off enjoying their free week. The baseball, softball, and golf teams went to Florida, meanwhile the Track and Basketball teams are here getting ready for the upcoming games and meets. Speaking of which, our indoor conference track meet is this Friday and Saturday in Bemidji….wish me luck!

A Good Start To A New Semester…

February 4th, 2008

We are now four weeks into the second semester and things are very well so far! My classes haven’t really gotten hard yet, but I can see the work load a-coming! Myself and the track team have done really well so far this indoor season. We’ve had quite a few injuries, but we have plenty of time to get healed up before our Conference meet. All in all, I’m really happy to be back here at school with all my friends, and to get one step closer to that diploma!

Writing Center Commercial

This is a 30 second commercial I did for the Concordia University-St. Paul Writing Center. The video is shot in a classic 1950s style, with movie reel effects and appropriate audio.

Fall Break

October 13th, 2007

Well, my fall break had its ups and downs.
On the up side, I got a few days off of school and I got to see my high school team win their homecoming.
On the down side, I had to work two days out of the four, I had to spend a lot of money on my car, and my laptop crashed. I had planned to use the four days off to catch up on work (including two major projects) and maybe even get ahead…but I had to sit idle during the break.

Come Monday, I’ll have all the regular homework to do plus all the work that piled up over the weekend.
Grrr…I just try to keep my eyes on God and know that He’ll get me through these times when I’m most stressed.

First “Week” Done

August 25th, 2007

Well, the first two days of classes are out of the way…Even right off the bat, I have plenty of work to do. My duties as an RA were tested right away last night, as well. It seems that there are some people in Wollaeger Hall who like to party. Anyway, I’m excited for the volleyball games today, plus the pre-game and post-game parties - BE THERE!

The End is Near

July 26th, 2007

Summer is almost done…at least for me. I have to be back on campus by the 13th of August for a week of RA training and then Welcome Week. As I look back at the summer, I didn’t do as much as I would have liked. I did too much of nothing…but nonetheless, the summer is always the most enjoyable time of the year for me. My girlfriend Jayme just got back from three and a half weeks in Tanzania, Africa for a mission trip. She had a great time and it was nice to hear all about it. Read the rest of this entry »

Randomness

June 2nd, 2007

I want to wish a happy belated 21st birthday to Billy…I’m sure he partied hard (and is maybe still recuperating).
Anyway, summer has been going well thus far. CU’s Kawaskii Bacon had a great showing at the 2006 NCAA Track & Field championships in Charlotte, North Carolina. He represented Concordia well, and I’m proud of him.
I’m back home in Wisconsin, but I had to run back to Concordia to . . . Read the rest of this entry »

Conference Track Meet

May 13th, 2007

The Golden Bears competed this weekend at the 2007 NSIC outdoor conference track meet in Moorhead, Minnesota. Both the men and women permormed above their expectations and did extremely well. The Men’s team won six events and finished fourth overall, while the women finished seventh. Read the rest of this entry »
