You know I have mentioned LifeSkills a few times already and have spoken at a Benefit Dinner of over 250 people for them - well now is my time to REALLY delve into the man LifeSkills has taught me to be!!

This summer I have the opportunity to work for an organization called xxxchurch. Their website is xxxchurch.com and it is an organization that helps those who are struggling with the issues of pornography and gets people who are in the industry OUT of it!!!!!

It is my hope and prayer that this summer, 2009, will be the summer of a lifetime once again - which may lead me to hand out Bibles at porn conventions, speak, update webpages, photography, etc. This volunteer position is kind of up in the air with what I may be doing… all I hope and pray for now is that God may use me and my talents to help others who are struggling and work for a fantastic ministry.

Hey all. I’ve stuck it out with this thing. Sorta. School’s about to start and another round of Freshly Squeezed is here. I guess it’s time to do the obligatory “What I did this summer” essay.

I was a member of the student company of Theatre L’Homme Dieu, an old, rustic theatre on Lake L’Homme Dieu, which lies just outside of Alexandria, Minn. (It’s pronounced luh-HA-muh-dew; the French just gets butchered up north) There, I spent ten weeks acting, painting, building, eating, and some karaoke-ing. (more…)

I really don’t know what to think about this weather. It’s the middle of April and we’re still expecting snow. It’s only been over 60 degrees once so far this year. Our track team has had two out of three meets cancelled, and we’re on the verge of cancelling another this weekend. I just can’t believe the winter is still lasting this long. (more…)

I’m so sorry to be gone for the past two weeks! But I ended up being really crazy and jumping on tour with Phantom Regiment for the final stretch. I’ve been gushing about this activity all summer. I don’t expect you to understand how much this activity means to me.

So this summer is absolutely crazy busy. I’ve been having a blast, but it’s been more draining than I would’ve imagined. Most of this is due to the beast that is known as “Oklahoma!” The final show is this afternoon. My call is just over an hour from now, and then it’ll be time to put the cowboy hat and boots away. Summer is almost done…at least for me. I have to be back on campus by the 13th of August for a week of RA training and then Welcome Week. As I look back at the summer, I didn’t do as much as I would have liked. I did too much of nothing…but nonetheless, the summer is always the most enjoyable time of the year for me. My girlfriend Jayme just got back from three and a half weeks in Tanzania, Africa for a mission trip. She had a great time and it was nice to hear all about it. (more…)
