Thursday, April 10th, 2008

This is a new segment entitled “Wyss’ Pieces” featured on my campus television show “Concordia Spotlight.” In this episode, I wanted to test the geography knowledge of the students here at Concordia. The results were stunning to say the least!

I’m still here…

Monday, March 10th, 2008

For all you faithful readers, if any of you are still left, I apologize for my lengthy hiatus. A lot has been going on in my life, all of which is good, so there’s no need to worry. I haven’t posted since September, but it feels like a few weeks, tops. Some big things have happened, most notably the CSP Women’s Volleyball team winning the National Championship. Let me tell you the story of that…

I’ll crawl out from under the rock now

Tuesday, February 5th, 2008

Not to worry, I have returned.
The end of the semester (last year) was a fun swirl of busy-ness. Now I’m adjusting to the spring semester 2008.

It’s SUPER TUESDAY (have you/will you caucus?)!!!

I don’t want to make this extremely long (because I have some homework to attend to), but I’ll give a bit of a breakdown of what my semester entails.

CLASSES
Fiction Writing
Playwriting
Directing
Theatre History I
Lighting and Sound Design
Dance
Choir

(Okay, so I have a lot of classes, but I truly love them all)

OTHER STUFF
News editing for “The Sword”
Acting in “Seascape” and “Pirates of Penzance”
Vox 9 Vocal Jazz Ensemble
Paying my rent every month

Am I in over my head? Not quite, but I’m sure I’ll be flirting with that possibility throughout this semester.

I’m really starting to get sick of the snow and winter.

QUESTION:
Anyone seen any good movies lately?

Today marks the first day of senior year. Needless to say, it’s been pretty easy so far. I know things will change, especially in Philosophy, but overall it should be fairly painless. (more…)

–Opening Weekend of Oklahoma! was this past weekend. It went well. I think the cast was a little miffed by the lower numbers the first two nights, but they were very enthusiastic. I’ll take that over a huge quiet crowd. I gotta work on the dream sequence a little bit before Wednesday’s show. (more…)

What is Nor//?

Wednesday, July 4th, 2007

Well, it’s America’s 231st birthday, and I’m sitting at Panera using their free Wi-fi. The past few weeks have flown by because of work, graduation parties, a bout with a cold, playing music, and enjoying all that summer has to offer. (more…)

Summerfest - Milwaukee, WI

Monday, July 2nd, 2007

I had a blast this past weekend in the great city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I took a roadtrip with my good friend Jamie to see a high school classmate and enjoy the festivities of the world’s largest concert series - Summerfest. We toured the city, spent some time on the Lake Michigan beach, and enjoyed the shows. We got to see Fuel, Sugarland, T-Pain, Sum 41, The Fray, Chris Brown, The Goo Goo Dolls, Lifehouse, Sara Evans, Ciara, Big & Rich, Ludacris, and O.A.R. all perform on the three days we were there. In the Summertime

Saturday, June 9th, 2007

The past few weeks since my birthday have literally flown by, and I’ve finally had some things to do besides doing chores at home. Summer Camp (Our Savior Lutheran Day Camp) has begun, and it’s been fun so far. the kids are energetic and fun as always, and I have a great group of co-workers. It helps that most of us have known each other for the better portion of our lives. Besides that, I’ve playing a lot of guitar and drums, trying to actually practice for once in my life…that’s not always easy, I suppose.
